Chante

Chante is designed for advanced female choral singers. Students develop both musicianship and proficiency in ensemble performance which they use in several competitions throughout the school year. Auditions are required to be in Chante.

Check out Chante's performance of Down in the River and Turlutte Acadienne Montrelalise at the VCU Choral Classic. The VCU Choral Classic is an invitational event for high school choirs to attend. Each fall choirs from across the state attend a half-day vocal workshop with VCU voice faculty followed by tours of campus, rehearsals in the concert hall, dinner at Shafer Dining Hall and culminating with Gala Concert featuring each of the guest choirs and the VCU Commonwealth Singers.  

Chante had  a great day at VCU and an impressive debut performance for the year. They received a plethora of compliments from students and their choral directors, included Dr. Chris Hansen of VCU Choirs himself!
